Aujourd’hui, nous allons parler des prépositions de lieu.
Les prépositions de lieu.(French Prepositions of Place / Location)
Dans la vidéo précédente, nous avons vu les prépositions simples. (Basic French Prepositions of Place)

DERRIÈRE
ENTRE
DANS
Ce sont des prépositions simples.
Aujourd’hui, nous allons voir les locutions prépositives. (Compound or Complex French Prepositions of Place)
Comme, par exemple :
À CÔTÉ DE
À côté de
À DROITE DE
À droite de
À GAUCHE DE
À gauche de
AU-DESSUS DE
Au-dessus de
EN DESSOUS DE
En dessous de
PRÈS DE
Près de
LOIN DE
Loin de
AU FOND DE
Au fond de
AU MILIEU DE
Au milieu de
Là, Jean-Louis est à côté de la chaise.
À CÔTÉ DE LA CHAISE
Maintenant, Jean-Louis est à droite de la chaise.
À DROITE DE LA CHAISE
Et maintenant, il est à gauche de la chaise.
À GAUCHE DE LA CHAISE
Jean-Louis saute au-dessus de la chaise.
AU-DESSUS DE LA CHAISE
Là, il y a une différence entre SUR et AU-DESSUS DE.
SUR, c’est quand on touche un objet.
AU-DESSUS DE, c’est quand on est au-dessus d’un objet, quand on ne touche pas l’objet.
Jean-Louis est en dessous de la chaise.
EN DESSOUS DE LA CHAISE
Ou on peut dire aussi : SOUS. Jean-Louis est sous la chaise.
Jean-Louis est près de la chaise.
PRÈS DE LA CHAISE
Maintenant, Jean-Louis est loin de la chaise.
LOIN DE LA CHAISE
L’oiseau est fond de la poubelle.
AU FOND DE LA POUBELLE
Jean-Louis fait un point au milieu de la feuille.
AU MILIEU DE LA FEUILLE
La feuille, c’est féminin. Comme la poubelle, c’est féminin. Ou la chaise, c’est féminin.
Maintenant, si j’utilise un nom masculin. Comme par exemple, le bureau.
Attention ! On ne dit pas ‘à côté de le bureau’.
‘À côté de le bureau’ NON !
On dit : À CÔTÉ DU BUREAU.
DU + un nom masculin
DE LA + un nom féminin
Maintenant, à droite de la chaise.
À DROITE DU BUREAU
À droite du bureau
Maintenant, Jean-Louis est à gauche du bureau.
À GAUCHE DU BUREAU
Maintenant, il y a un oiseau au-dessus du bureau.
AU-DESSUS DU BUREAU
Jean-Louis est en dessous du bureau.
EN DESSOUS DU BUREAU
Jean-Louis est près du bureau.
PRÈS DU BUREAU
Et il est loin du bureau.
LOIN DU BUREAU
Il y a un oiseau est fond du carton.
AU FOND DU CARTON
Jean-Louis fait un point au milieu du journal.
Un point rouge AU MILIEU DU JOURNAL
Un journal. Des journaux.
Au pluriel, des journaux.
Il y a un point rouge AU MILIEU DES JOURNAUX
Que ce soit masculin ou féminin, au pluriel, on dit ‘DES’.
Au milieu des journaux
Loin des bureaux
Loin des chaises
Au fond des cartons
Et au fond des poubelles !
